Welcome to a Bright New World where animals talk, teach and write books!Pat was a professional actress by trade until she decided to give up the limelight for the Shekinah light (the light of Spirit). Delphi (pronounced Del-phee) was a blue-ribbon show dog who decided she wanted to become an author and teacher.Pat has ash blond hair, which, when the sun hits it just right, looks golden. Delphi is a golden retriever.Pat has always had a deep affinity for animals, particularly dogs. Delphi loves humans and sees a great potential in them, particularly kids.Pat and Delphi met at a Virginia kennel for prize winning golden retrievers. It was clear right away that the two had an assignment. Pat paid $300 and took Delphi home with her. You can read what happens after that in Delphi, What Being on Earth Is All About. But it was not until Pat and Delphi moved to Tucson, Arizona, for a desert experience that it became quite evident that Delphi wanted to teach animal communication classes with Pat as her spokesperson. From the classes came the book Delphi, and later Six Lessons with Delphi, How to Live Happily with All Life.Perhaps Pat, being a spiritual writer and teacher, had to move to the desert with a wise golden retriever to understand what it is to be truly "spiritual." Although she had been talking and listening to animals, plants, rocks and even the wind for a long time, her connection with Delphi brought a surprise twist. For Delphi's vision is that children and animals together will save the earth. Delphi calls this vision the Pink Ribbon Project because, Delphi claims, it is only through love, respect and partnership with all life that we can begin to experience a peaceful and happy earth.*The children understand that Mother Earth speaks--she speaks through all her creation. Kids know we are partners, Delphi says. We are one happy family, but it takes a child to know it! Delphi says that kids are the smartest and babies are the wisest of all. That is because they remember the most. The Delphi books and the forthcoming Golden Paw series (age 2-6 years) bring to life for children and adults a magical world--not so far away from us that we can't remember and recreate it. Here are books for the whole family.* The Pink Ribbon Project is sponsored by Center for International Cooperation (CIC). Pat is founder and president of CIC, a non-governmental organization with consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council. |
